PANGBOURNE COMMUNITY POLICING
|
| MEET PANGBOURNE NEIGBOURHOOD TEAMS NEWEST
RECRUIT |
|
| |
| Pangbourne Neighbourhood Policing Team has unveiled their
newest recruit. |
| |
| PC Matthew Allen will be the Neighbourhood Officer for
Pangbourne, Aldworth, Ashampstead, Lower and Upper Basildon,
Purley, Streatley, Sulham and Tidmarsh. |
| |
| Matthew has spent the last year as a Response Officer based
at Newbury and prior to that worked for two years as a Response
Officer in Pangbourne, so already has a good knowledge of the
area. |
| |
| He said: "I decided to become a neighbourhood police officer
as I wanted to be in a position to resolve problems in the
community, instead of dealing with them after they have already
arisen. Having worked in the area before, I am aware of the major
issues, such as anti-social behaviour and criminal damage in
Pangbourne and Purley, so I will be looking to tackle these as a
priority. |
| |
| "I will be supported in my new role by my sergeant and five
other police officers, one Police Community Support Officer and
the local traffic Warden. The other police officers have their
own areas to police but we are always helping each other out if
the need arises. |
| |
| "I will also need the support of the public, if I am to be
able to work effectively. I will be attending Parish Meetings in
all my respective parishes in the coming months so if you wish
you can put any issues or problems you have to your local parish
councillor who can then inform me. I am also going to be holding
public meetings in all my areas, which I would encourage people
to come along to. |
